Bio

Claire is a senior, pursuing a BFA in Theatre with a dual emphasis in Performance and Directing at Belmont University. She is expected to graduate in May of 2026. Claire is from Portland, Oregon, but has spent the last four years living in Nashville. In college, she has expanded her love for performance and found a new love: Directing. One of her favorite recent directing opportunities has been Directing her Senior Capstone project, Last Train to Nibroc. Last fall, she also had the opportunity to Assistant Direct Belmont University’s production of Romeo and Juliet. Currently, she is Stage Managing Belmont’s Production of A Monster Calls.

In terms of performance, last fall, Claire acted in her final Mainstage production at Belmont. She played Jamie and Also Jamie in The Bookstore. This was a very unique opportunity because she switched roles every other show. Last year she performed in Belmont’s Frog and Toad as Bird #1. This show was a particular joy for her due to its elements of nostalgia and vivid music.

Claire enjoys spending time in the theatre. Whether this be as a director, or actor, she finds joy in the community formed in the rehearsal space. Claire believes theatre has the potential to be a vessel for change. In a world of such darkness, she prioritizes theatre that brings joy or educates audiences.

After graduating Belmont, Claire will be pursuing directing full time. She aims to attend graduate school within the next five years.
